On September 25, 26 and 27, 2024, the Palace of Versailles is organizing the International Meetings on Versailles and Equestrian Culture, from the past to the present.

Over the three days, historians, art historians, archivists, European riding schools, philosophers, artists and craftsmen of excellence will take a multidisciplinary approach to exploring the role of the horse and equestrian civilization from the 16th century to the present day.

This half-day event will evoke the diplomatic and ceremonial role that horses and armor played at court, as well as the figure of the Grand Ecuyer.
